Thread: nuvi 2599 bricked?

Hello Butters. Thank you again for the reply and concise instructions. I will keep trying as you suggest. I did open up and disconnect the battery but unfortunatly didnt manage to catch the pre booting bit. Next time Ill leave the battery disconnected. I tried an experiment by using all the folders/map etc from my other 2599 onto a sd card. That brought some life back into the broken nuvi. It even showed ' what region' on the screen, briefly. then dissapeared to white screen again. Im going to put things on hold as going back to Scotland for Christmas. Im not giving up !
