Try EasyGPS or GPSBabel both are free.
Pass the files to your Laptop and then connect your new GPS and transfer them.
PS make sure you have a Garmin USB cable then you will not have problems.
To connect the Etrex go to Main Menu then Setup then Interface and connect.
