And is there any way to upgrade my married sd card from map v6.1 to v.8 via download manager, like I've upgrade software to 8.0 ?
I've also a cloned card (samsung evo 64gb) with same CID and label.

That's why I say do not use the MD download manager until you're sure there's a map upgrade. At that point reset the backup and re-enable the card in the car and then try to upgrade in the MB download manager.

PS - I have upgrade V5 software to v6 then to 6.1 then back to v6 and now to v8 ... the maps unfortunately got in V5 because I still had thought of the subject and I used MB download Manager several times before there is a New version of maps and possibly no map update in 60 days.

Maby a stupid question.
Is it possible that i copy a old backup on the virgin card en do the v8 update by download manager to software version v8 ?
I have update my original card this afternoon in the download manager to version v8.
when i place the orginal card in the cardreader from my computer en start the download manager then i get the message activate it first in the car before you can use the download manager.
I have make of course a copy from the original SDCARD before i place it in my car & go to test it this evening in a CLA with the virgin 32GB SDCARD

I've an old v6.1 firmware backup.

I just managed to update the software the maps remain at V5.
Mercedes is probably distributing the software V8 gradually by countries, it is probably not yet available in your country.
I think that's the reason why you still do not have the software V8 available. According to Mercedes the software update is free and supposedly forever. As long as the version fits on the 32GB cards !!!
I do not know if the availability is made by IP address or if something is analyzed in garmindevice.xml that gives you the indication to make the update available or not.Last edited by gaspar; 9th May 2017 at 10:00 AM.
