You're right, they work well even without a label. But for a job well done gets the correct label is not difficult either!
It can be changed with windows 7 Enterprise or with linux.
I think the Maps update does not lie in the fact that the SD card has no label.
Possibly in the 60 days there was no map update, I also had no luck with my original V5.
That is why I suggest that you only use MB Download Manager when you are sure that there is already a map update available, at this time it will be better to reset the backup and re-marry the card with the car.
Theoretically it will be the MB Download Manager to check / register the wedding date!
Note - There is already an FW 8 update for Star 1
Note2 - The Star 1 original is extFAT.
