Mercedes garmin cards are WORK without any label , simple copy and paste on fat32 system, i have test both STAR 1 and STAR 2 cardsQuote:

A clas Star 1 - V6.0 , and only update was fw to 6.1
Vclas Star 2 - v5.0 and only update was fw to 8.0
Both case are tested before 60day of activation.
maybe the no label is problem of that update and the program dont see label cuz SD dont have.
You're right, they work well even without a label. But for a job well done gets the correct label is not difficult either!
It can be changed with windows 7 Enterprise or with linux.
I think the Maps update does not lie in the fact that the SD card has no label.
Possibly in the 60 days there was no map update, I also had no luck with my original V5.
That is why I suggest that you only use MB Download Manager when you are sure that there is already a map update available, at this time it will be better to reset the backup and re-marry the card with the car.
Theoretically it will be the MB Download Manager to check / register the wedding date!
Note - There is already an FW 8 update for Star 1
Note2 - The Star 1 original is extFAT.

Mine is star1 and mb manager says it is up to date as v6.1
I have test on mercedes V class Star 2 , A213 cards both maps. V5.0 and V7.0 married and tested in MB donwload manager at same day , day after , and week after , it dont wana do update map i dont know why cuz there was update from v5 to v6 and from v7 to v8...
Also test on Star 1 A218 cards same thing... I put new card v6 and its get married. go to PC and check for updates only fw . next i test v7.0 and still no updates damn it !!! :/
if heard that someone update they sd to v7 from v5 and also from v7 to v8...
maybe MB program check the vin and not all car have that future ?
Map v8 europe is out, only for new owner of w176 a class
If someone shares V8 maps I know how to make the copy work
I have the tools and the knowledge of how to make a functional copy.
