MB download manager does not care VIN number as I remember.

What I wonder is what would happen if you buy another card for a new map and that card will have the same device ID (audio 20 device id) and VIN number?

Clone card works on cars. But you cannot use in MB download manager as I think. But software update is totaly free and there is no time limit. Therefore clone carda may be used but with partial update.

Whenever I update my sd card (software update), audio 20 asks me if I want to get it married eith sd card or not. Thus, Can I use this card another car?
If not, why does it ask me?

When you update the software from the card to version V8 in the download manager it says after update first activatie the card in the Garmin system.

What i have done after update the software. is make copy from the card to my harddrive before activated in the Garmin system.

Then i have watch what has changed in the GarminDevice.xml
When you look at the last 2 lines in the GarminDevice.xml is the vin from the car where card has been married with it has not changed.
I have try to run it on a Virgin 32 Gb card in the car from my neightbour the card whas not working

I have give it up i will wait for a solution !!!

Not working because Audio20 check the CID number (and perhaps card label ?)

CID can be rewrite on Samsung Evo 32Go card.
But you need a Linux computer with a PCI (not USB) SD reader and evoplus_cid software.
Search GitHub and Youtube for more explanations.
