I'm among the 734 viewers of this thread , I followed since the beginning and I felt a bit bad because unit bricking was probably generated by my continuous advice to backup region 41. Lol I know, it has been caused by a mistake , but I felt bad anyway.

First, congratulation to Smokefree for his starting post and for his unit issues descriptions: perfect to help helpers

No hard feelings at all! It was my own stupidity that it happened in the first place. I learned from it and in that sense am even glad it happened.

Wherever possible and appropriate, I like to be as detailed as possible, provided the details are relevant to the issue. As Neil mentioned somewhere before: there is no such thing as too much information, but it can waste people's time when information, sometimes even a little detail, is omitted. And of course: one picture can sometimes tell more than a thousand words. I truly hope this thread will be of benefit to others who may accidentally end up in a same or similar situation as me. Also for them it is good to have all steps clearly explained, thus avoiding misunderstandings or further problems.
