I have had problems updating. Recently, I tried using map 890.4238 with no luck. Same with map 890.4236.
I get rid of my old map, copy the new map onto the gps, then run fast activate. Fast activate does not even see the map. I boot up the GPS and I get a message saying to the effect that the map cannot be used.
So, I get rid of the new map, copy back my old map and funny thing is that fastactivate recognizes my original map but not the new one. I looked at the chart and it should work. Any advice would be helpful.

FastActivate see ALL map. but not activate them if meta is not released....
you not say what map you try to use only version number not tell as nothing...
go here and check if meta is released for your map
