It is not that I damaged the device with purpose. Yes, I know it was not smart to solder on the wires to the dock port, but I can not change that now. The reason why I am posting this on the forum is that I want to learn what I did wrong and maybe how to fix the problem.

OT: Could I short components on the MB with touchting only the dock connector?
