The solution for the TomTom Truck using the official or modified 9.702 navcore is very simple:
just replace a single file (the "glgps" in the "bin" folder).
It is necessary to replace the file \bin \glgps of 9.702 by that of 9.541.
Everything then works normally on GO x20, x30, x40 and x50.

I have successfully tested on the following models:
    GO 920, GO 630, GO 730, GO 930, GO 540, GO 940, GO 750, GO 950 and GO 9000.
I do not have a One to test.

    N. B. The same modification also works for navcores 9.510 and 9.401 (I tried).
It is interesting for the French, because the 9.401 is the last navcore before 9.510 which always indicates
the exact position of the radars in France after the law of January 5th, 2012 which forbids it....
    Dear pe1agp,

I refer to the above post earlier in the treat and I ( my father ) do have a TomTom GO 630 and I undernstand it correctly that I only have to change the bin folder with the file I have to download from:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Is this un-depended from the Navcore which is installed?

First - find out which GPS chip is used in your device - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Hi,
my device is Tomtom GO 520 with Navcore 9.510. Yesterday i update the "glgps" file : at home the device fixed Satellits signal.
This morning for a car trip it was OK. But in the way back the device not fixed Satellits signal.
Do I need to replace other files in "bin" folder ?
    Thanks

I have a tomtom one v8 with navcore 9541 and brown map 1030. After having solved the subject of the time in the tomtom with GL1 which I am greatly grateful for. I see a small problem and sometimes it takes a long time to get satellite, but if the tomtom is reset, it takes the satellites in less than 2 minutes.

That's why my question is that I would like the music to appear when the tomtom is turned on, which seems to be a sign of having restarted or reset. Or without there being music the tomtom I think with GL1 has to have a reset to work fantastically well with the satellites

And that you have to get it, gentlemen, create something that the tomtom does that reset

    I hope you understand me

    a cordial greeting

How many times over how many forums have you posted this same message?

Create a new text document called 'suicide.txt' > open it and enter the number '20' > close & save it > rename the file extension from *.txt to *.dat = suicide.dat

When this new file is placed into the root of your device, it will turn the device off after 20 seconds

But I do not want it to go off after 20 seconds. I want that when I turn on the tomtom it's as if I had reset it, that's it.

    I hope to have explained

I am looking forward to your response

    a cordial greeting

So you got full answer here - after device switches off (with the help of file suicide.dat) - afterwards it will start as after reset.
If 20 secs is too long for you - try to enter less number of secs - 10 for ex.

    Do some trying yourself, finally!

I have NO signal GPS on my TomTom XXL IQ Routes Edition
At first : I do the update of the tomtom home.exe and I use fastactivate to patch PNDnavigator after I change glgps in BIN's folder as explain in this thread I get the map but the problem is not fixed : no signal GPS , waiting for GPS signal.
I do also the reset : nothing ,
I use my old navcore with old map“it works before” : always nothing
    Any idea ?
    Thank’s for your help
