if the Device use $GPALM or $PGRMF protocol (as i know , GARMIN Deivce)
    removed dead link pictures

If the Device use NMEA-0183 Standard protocol (I think many Device use this Standard protocol . but i think TOMTOM/GARMIN will affected)
    removed dead link pictures

use NMEA-0183 Standard protocol ,will not be affected

Not TT related except GPS system failure article

The bug, known as the “GPS Rollover,” hit the city NYCWiN system April 6, affecting several tasks, including remote monitoring of traffic lights at 13,000 intersections, wireless reading of water meters, and a handful of NYPD license plate readers, the New York Times reported.
Like they never saw it coming.

The same modification also works for navcores 9.510 and 9.401 (I tried). It's interesting for French people, because the 9.401 is the last navcore before 9.510 which still indicates the exact position of the radars in France after the law of January 5th, 2012 which forbids it.

The solution for the TomTom Truck using the official or modified 9.702 navcore is very simple:
just replace a single file (the "glgps" in the "bin" folder).
It is necessary to replace the file \bin \glgps of 9.702 by that of 9.541.
Everything then works normally on GO x20, x30, x40 and x50.

I have successfully tested on the following models:
    GO 920, GO 630, GO 730, GO 930, GO 540, GO 940, GO 750, GO 950 and GO 9000.
I do not have a One to test.

    N. B. The same modification also works for navcores 9.510 and 9.401 (I tried).
It is interesting for the French, because the 9.401 is the last navcore before 9.510 which always indicates
the exact position of the radars in France after the law of January 5th, 2012 which forbids it.

Thank you (Jogger62 and Charlie62 are one and the same person )!

Just a little more clarification: I think only GPS equipped with Global Locate v2 chips can be corrected by the "glgps" file of the 9.451 navcore. Those equipped with version 1 will unfortunately probably not "resurrected" by this fix. This is the case of the following models: some One New Edition (some are equipped with the Sirf Star 3 chip), the One 3rd Edition, TomTom One XL, TomTom XL 2008.

    Hi Guys
was pointed here from another page. I have 2 tomtom rider 2's runiing the following
    9.500.1161701.2 os 1114405
    gps v1.2 boot 5.5250
    europe-84 v920.5241
I have downloaded the file in question but it appears to be the same as the one in my unit. Tried copying anyway and made no difference.
I stuck an old rider 2 card into my unit and logged in through tomtom home and it has updated a number of files and hey presto it appears to have fixed the clock issue. Problem is there is no glgps file in the bin folder so dont know which file has done the trick. Anyone shed any light please got a trip planned soon but at mo keep loosing signal due to week rollover
