I've tried 4 different browsers now, haven't posted screenshots from all of them because the results are the same.
Block the ads and nothing appears in the spoiler when I click Show, same as in the screenshots above.
Unblock the ads and the spoiler content is replaced by an ad, same as the screenshots above.
I have tried Firefox 102.12.0esr which is my regular browser on my daily operating system, MX-Linux 21.3.
I have tried Vivaldi 6.1.3035.111 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit).
Whatever version of Firefox comes default with Debian 12 Xfce.
And finally earlier today SeaMonkey 2.53.16.
Mags, I'm using uBlock Origin (UBO) again with the only domains allowed being gpspower.net, imgur.com, postimage.org, postimg.cc and postimgs.org, everything else is blocked.
In the time it's taken me to type this reply the number of connection attempts blocked by UBO has gone to over 200 and still rising.
If I disable UBO in my UX request thread there is often 80 or more domains connected, though sometimes it never gets that high, currently only 64 connected.
And the trouble making scumware ad that stops the spoiler working is always a video (above screenshots) and ALWAYS comes from hxxps[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]... possibly some grub spammer/advertiser is using the humix platform to host their crud.
I have tried clearing cookies and cache also, this sometimes fixes these types of problems on different sites, but unfortunately not this one.
I have also had the issue Boki mentions some other users have had, after liking a post to see the content I still haven't been able to view it, hasn't happened for a while and I usually gave up, now that I've consistently had this issue it possibly is the same or a similar issue happening with those spoilers too, if I come across that again I will experiment.
EDIT: I unchecked "automatically parse links in text" and the forum ignored that with the humix link so I changed the htt to hxx
EDIT-2: the damn thing still shows that as a link when once again I UNCHECKED "automatically parse links in text" it should not do that, it should obey my choice.
