Garmin Travel Guide for All of Europe- update nov 2009

May I deviate for a sec from the technical talk and ask about the usefulness of this data? What exactly is in this Travel Guide: a watered down collection of POI's? An upgraded collection of POI's? And lastly, wouldn't a recent updated POI file be preferable to this guide?

it provides october 2009 informations on restaurants, golf courses, shopping, nightlife and sightseeing. Points of interest (POIs) include addresses and contact data, as well as hours of operation, cuisines, accepted credit cards and room availability.
It covers Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, San Marino, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland-

This thread includes incormation about Falk-Marco Polo TravelGuide (for Europe).

Does anybody have information and available download for other Garmin travel guides, such as: Fodor’s Travel Guide: North America , various AA guides (europe, US) , ACSI Campgrounds? Maybe also some info about Garmin MAD maps?

On the Nuvi 670. The language guide installed alright as per the instructions here. The travel installed too but it was not complete so I installed a Marco Polo version I got somewhere else. For them to install properly the actions had be done one at a time, putting on the same SD card each pack and installing them separately.

I have seen links for the TRavel Guide specifically for Italy.

Does the city specific Travel guide have more POI information or is the same POI's as in the larger Travel Guide?

I have copied the TravelGuideEurope.gpi into a folder Garmin/poi on a removable sd card also the unlock key which I now know is the wrong file name I have it as gmapsupp.unl.

Can someone please tell me the correct file names for these files.

Both files (.gpi and .unl) must be with same names. Thus the unlocking file
must be named TravelGuideEurope.unl - it is working like that on my nuvi 885T.

Hi all, does anyone know if Travel Guide or Language Guide work on my Garmin Oregon 400t? How to get that SD ID number? I cannot find it anywhere... Any help, please?
