I have copied the TravelGuideEurope.gpi into a folder Garmin/poi on a removable sd card also the unlock key which I now know is the wrong file name I have it as gmapsupp.unl.
Can someone please tell me the correct file names for these files.

I have seen links for the TRavel Guide specifically for Italy.
Does the city specific Travel guide have more POI information or is the same POI's as in the larger Travel Guide?

Both files (.gpi and .unl) must be with same names. Thus the unlocking file
must be named TravelGuideEurope.unl - it is working like that on my nuvi 885T.

Just for the fun I wanted to see how this would look like in a Nuvi 865 from that time.
The files were still available in the torrents

Just to understand if I am doing ok:
-garmindevice.xml => find id ></Model><Id>3469080839</Id><
jetmouse 1.5 plus fix => custom mapset insert the values => copy unlock map unlock code to TravelGuideEurope.unl
move both to internal memory POI folder.
I found some post saying it was needed to create sw.unl with the software key but didn't state where to put it.

edit: for all devices it was easier (and worked!) to find the sdcard ID and install with sdcard which then asks to copy to internal memory in some cases.Last edited by skinniezinho; 14th December 2025 at 06:42 PM.
