    Hi,

I got a prehistoric Nüvi 250 in which I put last Cyclops Camera POI folder from post #1.
When I approach a camera, only a camera is displayed on the top left corner of the screen with no sound alert.
    Is it normal ?

It's normal if you're testing in North America, no sound only icon.

In fact, it sounds on the road with red written alert, but not in simulation mode as I tested the first time.

Obviously the simulation mode is more accurate in driving and it is driving with adequate speed! Due this the next generation of car will have only simulation mode on roads and there will 10000$ for driving insurance with tick to in paragraph: I want to drive car myself. All because of you!!!

Yeah, you left out that important bit of info. Cyclop alert behavior is not like normal POI alert because it's a special record different from POI record.

Why not? As I remember the old device do not sound if speed is lower than assigned for POI.

You can ask Garmin/Cyclop developers why. I'm sure it's to protect their intellectual property to isolate their alerts from normal Garmin POI. Same goes for why software on "old device" don't behave the same as new ones. For example, you don't expect a car manufacture to use exactly same parts/design for a 2001 as a 2010 car even if it's the same model.

I recently bought a Nuvi 56LMT and tried to install cyclopes gpi file for US & Canada using POI Loader but got the message that the folder was missing a csv or gpx file. I still haven't been able to install it on my gps. Could anyone plz advize how I could set up on 56 LMT. Thanks!

Don't use POI Loader or any other such program to install any already compiled *.gpi files. Simply place the unlocked cyclops gpi file in a folder named POI in the root of your unit, or you can put them on an inserted media card.

I guess you missed the very first line in the initial post:
