Thanks for the replies, I have tried the unlocked files posted above by Cserrobi & tried a previous months unlocked file posted by Sue Davison. I was under the impression that the unlocked versions need no further unlocking or patching but I will try out the tool suggested on the locked versions. Also Cyclops is supported in my region, as mentioned the sample cyclops AustraliaNZ cyclops gpi file that came with the Dash Cam 55 provides alerts.
Update:
I tried using Protected Garmin File Toolkit v2.2.5.4 creating 3 files :
FID 700
FID 900
FID 65535
None worked :-( Do I need to create a unl file ?

Could be but emz will have to try and see if the Protected Garmin File Toolkit v2.2.5.4 works for him on this Garmin Dash Cam 55.
Thanks for all your input. I tried using each of the 3 files generated by the Garmin File Toolkit v2.2.5.4 from the unlocked Sue files but none worked & I also tried the Garmin GPI Tools v1.0 & that did not work either, thus I will just have to use the sample file till it expires :-(
@emz,
There is one other thing you can try.
It is a long shot but it could work.......
When you open Protected Garmin file toolkit_2254.
Then add the speed cam you want to unlock.
Get the ID info
Example:
Belgium 2496 9 4 20
Take this info and then open Garmin Unlock Generator v1.5
Enter your Dashcam ID
Change the Select Software Product to Garmin Mobile PC
Next under Select Map Product open the window and pick custom mapset
Tick Enable additional fields (experts only)
Add the code 2496 9 4 20 or what ever speedcam you are trying to unlock in this field
Click OK
Then click Generate
Now make a unlock file in a text editor and add the number that was generated.
Then place both speedcam file and unlock file in the POI folder.
See if this will work for you.
Your sample file(s) has .unl? Did you try generating .unl via JM? What version of firmware are you using?
Do not PM me with questions. That's what a forum is for.
For Nuvi device (as nuvi1340 LMT) :
create at the root of gps a folder called poi
put in this folder the .gpi files of the archive
good luck
thanks mate.... doesnt matter what is a name of a file for example: EastEU cams , or EasternEuropean Cameras?
You can call it what you want.
Also I saw your post about Garmin SCDB.info The Worldwide Speed Camera.
Try not to install both types of speedcams one or the other.
If you keep both types of speedcams you will get double warning all the time.
I would use the official speedcams only.
