Thank you very much for the advice. It seems that DNX does not support Cyclops for the 2012 model.

I tried to purchase the software and it installed the Garmin plug-in for my browser and it asked me to then plug the unit into the PC. Kenwood eliminated the USB interfaces in the back of the DNX series after 2011, so there is no way for a PC to communicate through USB to the Garmin software in the 2012 model. 2011 models have such a interface. So I take it that means they no longer support it. Also for 2012, Kenwood decided to eliminate all the voice alert features for POI that worked on prior years. They replaced it with a single tone or continuous tone. It was a big mistake IMHO.

I think it would work for 2011 model, but I do not have one to try.

Thank you again for trying to help me. You are correct, Kenwood locked down the access to the internal SD and there is no access to root. They even disabled the hidden diagnostic utilities that used to let you copy things from External SD or USB to root.

I have seen threads where people have opened up their Kenwoods and removed the internal SD and disabled the lock down on the internal SD card. But my unit is still under warranty so I won't try that yet.

I could not seem to get the Garmin browser add-on to recognize the new 2012 unit when connected to the USB connector. When I had an older Kenwood DNX years ago the browser add-on would indeed recognize the kenwood when connected to the micro-usb connection on the back.

Looks like I will just have to search for a CSV POI file and use POI loader.

cant seem to get these to show up in an Oregon 450? I thought these were compatible?

I've tried putting the unlocked GPX file in the POI folder & I've also tried putting the locked file in the POI folder with the unlock code (from JetMouse) in a unl file.

I have spent days looking in to the Speed Camera Databases for the UK.

The Cyclops database and the Pockets GPS World database seem to be the most accurate ones and have mobile cameras.
I can see the Cyclops on a Garmin is better in the sense that it tells / controls the Garmin better than the Pocket GPS World.
And read that both Databases have very accurate camera data.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried both Databases together and worked out which one is most likely to know about a mobile camera in the UK?
Since from what I have read they are probably very similar?

Unfortunately I have a TomTom, so am unable to use the Cyclops system, but I'm curious and others with a Garmin may be interested?

Sorry ,but have you seen the Cyclops database or have used a Garmin nav to see them and only some?

Because all of us would like to see in the database of the Cyclops (and not just for the UK)

I have not been able to see the Cyclops database since I do not have a Garmin.
The file is encrypted, so I can not put it in a POI viewer on my computer.
I have only been able to read a few scattered reports about the Cyclops database.

The pocket gps world database is by far the best I have scene and is much better than TomToms own database in the UK.
It seems that loads of peoples databases are so out of date they are useless (TomTom included),
and others have abandoned mobile speed cameras (they used to list them but no longer do).
The pocket gps world has picked up every fixed and mobile speed camera I have scene so far (in the UK).

But I am very curious about Cyclops, since it may be better or equal or slightly worse from what I can gather (in the UK).
