I am unsure of which is the correct procedure to follow with my Navigon unit, it is labelled as GARMIN on the front, doing some digging around within the files on the unit I have the following from the version.xml file
<software>
<version>7.16.9</version>
<build>314</build>
<brand>NAVIGON_EU</brand>
<platform>SKODA_PID_V2</platform>
<copyright>Garmin Würzburg GmbH, Copyright (c) 2014</copyright>
<productprefix>N7</productprefix>
<style>SKODA</style>
<productid>N7NFRC8CNZEXS5K</productid>
<id>TMBZZZAAZFD636961</id>
<romimage>
<version>2.33</version>
</romimage>
<bluetooth>
<core>
<version>1.1.102.105</version>
</core>
<firmware>
<version>H14423-V2R43</version>
</firmware>
</bluetooth>
<gts>36|4|12|7|7|115|5|218</gts>
<expirationdate>20171020133251Z</expirationdate>
</software>
It appears to have a fairly small internal memory at just under 4 Gig and I have done a back up of all files from the unit to my computer, this has been done with a back-up utility (Linux) and a straight copy of all files including hidden to my hard disk.
It is fitted into a 2015 Skoda Citigo.
Looking at the list of software on the first post I do not see the version or build numbers so I thought I had better check check before I ventured further and trash the unit.
Cheers
Adrian
OK I thought it was a Navigon product, moving to the other forum. Thanks for the pointer.
Hello,
My Navigon is the 5100 Model.
The link directs me to another page. However it says that there no files in the folder.
Can I substitute with something from another model?
Here are some more details. the Navigon I have uses MN6.
It seems that this Model does not have an internal Memory. Without SD Card it does not boot up. It just comes up stating that the SD Card needs to be inserted. Similar to BIOS of a PC without e.g. Harddrive.
On the SD Card there is an autorunce.exe a folder called MN6 and the file Europe_NT200708.map.
The easiest would be that I can just get an update on the map since the version I have is, as the name suggests, from August 2007.
I could find in the internet latest Map version from 2020, however they require MN7.
As written above. The folder were the link in the first post is directing to is empty.
Now my questions:
Is there a place where I can find the latest Europe Map for MN6?
If not does somebody know where I can find the whole package (MN7 and maps), which I can copy and paste to a new SD Card?
Thanks

Hello apolyps3,
thanks for the software. I have started testing. Maybe it makes sense to shift this topic to an independent thread, since I have additional information to share. Should I open a new thread or does somebody move this topic to a new one like "Navigon 5100 software update".
If we should continue here, an update will be provided a bit later on. I need to make testdrives with these version.

Stay in this topic for now, if there is a need, I will create a new one and move to it.
