    OSC%20670

You can download these alerts yourself by selecting the country and the type you need.

You can add alarm points to the database yourself and use the information for storage and editing.

The OSC database is absolutely free.

    Spoiler: Attention!!!
The OSC team is a little surprise about the speedcam of old Europe. The fact is that everyone uses the SCDB base in which 30%, there are cameras / radars long ago removed or were not installed at all. OSC makes it possible to bring hazard data into a normal state; all points on the map can be edited, up to a delete (none) -1. We work with the OSC base.

Everything is in our hands, we will make warnings better!

FAQ For OSC users. How to use the OSC database.
The first step is registration. Then you can moderate, find the place you are interested in on the map, and find the alert. Each set point on the map has properties, creation history, creation date, and modification dates. Parameters, notification type, coordinates, speed, notification direction, one direction, two directions, any. You can make changes directly on the map. All changes are controlled by moderators to ensure that the changes comply with the OSC rules. All changes are saved and ready for export.
How to remove the radar from the OSC database if it is no longer there.
Leave a comment on the point on the map and turn the status to rating -1. It is important to understand that you need to be sure that you have correctly located the radar on the map. Since after the -1 rating, the radar will no longer be exported from the OSC database. The radar beam will change color from green to red and will be available for editing within one month. In a month, it will be completely transferred to the OSC database archive and will be unavailable for editing, it will no longer be visible on the map.

"Check box" Mobile ambush confirmed after
    .

Using POIbase mobile navigation, confirmations regarding mobile speed cameras are constantly recorded and time—stamped; therefore, the number of confirmed mobile speed cameras — for example, for a certain month - represents actual data, provided that the driver was physically present at a certain location and confirmed the presence of a mobile speed camera.

Here's how it works in OSC: to confirm the presence of a mobile radar, you need to click a button in the properties of an object on the OSC map. What does it mean? The frequency of mobile radar confirmation is 0.1% per year — in other words, almost no one confirms them. Therefore, you can use the OSC database in two ways.
The first way is not to use mobile radars: when exporting, do not check the box next to the "Mobile Ambush" export object.

    Spoiler: 1
    mob 100

The second way is to export with mobile radars. When exporting, check the box next to the export object labeled "Mobile ambush".
in the other options column on the right, do not mark "Mobile ambush confirmed after".

    Spoiler: 2
    Mob 200

If you have the "Mobile ambush confirmed after" checkbox enabled during export, you will receive data for mobile radars that have been confirmed. In some Countries, there will be no mobile radars at all.

And if you downloaded the OSC database and decided to share your success by publishing files on the Internet, do it right — the name and content should match, if the file name is "Mobile_SpeedCams" then the file should have this type.

    Here is an example:
    iGO_OpenSpeedcam_Fix_&_Mobile_SpeedCams_World _2026.07.03.txt
Romania OpenSpeedcam Fix & Mobile SpeedCamText 2026.07.03..txt
However, this file contains almost no "mobile radars" data. If you publish OSC database data, you must make sure that it is done correctly — or not publish it at all. Users who download these files from (Cserrobi – Sunnyside Navi) while waiting for alerts from mobile speed cameras do not receive them on their navigation devices; I often encounter such files on various technical forums. Beware of non-competent OSC database publications.
    Spoiler: С

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

OSC World - there is no whole world in the OSC database, there is only Europe. Initially, the OSC project was created for Russia and neighboring countries. Later, through my efforts, the whole of Europe appeared in the database. If you see an opportunity to download other countries in the database, then this is frozen data or incomplete data.

Ready-to-Use speedcam.txt Builds by AF (AndreyForm)

In the world of GPS navigation, the average user usually sees only the final result—a speed camera warning on their device's screen. Few realize that behind a simple text file like speedcam.txt lies complex engineering work dedicated to optimization, sorting, and supporting dozens of different platforms.

When it comes to ready-made, author-curated speedcam builds by AF, it is not just a package of copied coordinates. This is a unique product that incorporates years of experience in moderating major databases and a deep understanding of iGO engine architecture. Let’s break down what happens behind the scenes of a professional build and why it has become the ultimate standard of quality.

Spoiler: Read full details about AF Speedcam Builds Optimization
    1. Multi-Encoding: From Legacy OEMs to Modern Skins
The biggest issue with most amateur builds is their narrow specialization. An author creates a file for themselves, and the software begins to glitch on other devices. AF builds are fundamentally different due to their versatility and flexibility:
    * OEM Format for Older Navigators: This ensures full support and stable performance on classic devices (including WinCE systems, old Primo versions, and built-in head units), where the navigation engine is strictly limited by basic camera types and weak hardware.
    * Support for Advanced UX Models: The builds are perfectly adapted to the extended encodings of modern skins. First and foremost, this includes the VB standard created for all versions of Pongo skins (Nextgen, Luna, 64-bit), as well as the NC encoding for specialized truck profiles (Truck / iTruck).
As a result, the navigator does not just see a point on the map—it knows exactly its type, direction vector, and the specifics of the enforcement camera.

    2. Deep Optimization: Sorting by the Prime Meridian
Collecting coordinates is only half the battle; they must be structured correctly for the navigator's processor. AF builds utilize a strict mathematical sorting of the database relative to the Prime (Greenwich) Meridian.
Upon startup, the iGO engine indexes the text file line by line. If the coordinates are dumped randomly, the processor wastes precious time and RAM jumping across the coordinate grid. Sorting by the meridian arranges the data into a strict, logical chain.
    * The initial indexing time for the speedcam folder is cut down significantly.
    * Micro-stutters and map freezes when updating road conditions at high speeds are completely eliminated.
    * The software runs smoothly even on devices with minimal RAM.

    3. Counter-Traffic Optimization and "Gentle Mode" for VB
One of the main reasons a navigator's processor gets overloaded on busy highways is data redundancy. If a radar monitors both directions of traffic, most amateur databases create two separate, independent points in the file, which overloads the device's memory.
AF builds implement a professional merging algorithm: the coordinates of two radars facing opposite directions are combined into a single line specifying two separate vectors. This reduces the total number of lines in the file without losing alert quality, saving the engine from processing two closely located objects simultaneously.

At the same time, a special "Gentle Mode" filtering is applied to the VB encoding. Its purpose is to clear the database of minor digital noise while strictly preserving all unique data regarding "rear-facing" cameras (those that shoot you from behind). Modern low-noise radars and AI camera systems often record violations right after a vehicle passes them. The Gentle Mode ensures that these critical points are not deleted by optimization algorithms as "duplicates"—the navigator will always warn the driver about these hidden traps in a timely manner.

    4. The British Knot: Miles vs. Kilometers
The United Kingdom is the ultimate litmus test for the quality of any database. In AF builds, this issue is resolved at a professional level by strictly separating data streams:
    * Specialized KM/H File: Designed for modern 64-bit systems, Nextgen Luna, and Pongo skins, where the conversion of limits to British road graphs occurs via software scripts.
    * Classic MPH File: Designed for older versions of iGO Primo and Nextgen, where sound engines and plugins require the database to natively match local British speed signs.
No confusion, no false panic alerts when crossing the English Channel. Every driver gets the exact mathematical model that their specific navigator build expects.

    Summary: Engineering vs. Amateurism
Ready-made speedcam builds by AF represent the final point in the evolution of iGO customization. While amateurs on forums clutter the space with digital garbage by mindlessly slicing databases using automated utilities, this professional approach offers a meticulously refined structure.

You get multi-format compatibility, strict sorting to offload the processor, and the merging of oncoming traffic vectors—all while fully preserving unique rear-facing camera data.

Spoiler: The Logic of Enclaves: Why Monaco is Part of France
The Logic of Enclaves: Why Monaco is Part of France

In practical navigation, microstates and enclaves make absolutely no sense as standalone files. A driver physically cannot reach them without driving through the road network of their larger neighboring country. This is exactly why optimized builds (such as database lineups for VB and NC encodings) always merge small countries with their geographical "protectors":

    * GIB (Gibraltar) is included in the ESP — Spain.txt file
    * LIE (Liechtenstein) is included in the AUT — Austria.txt file
    * MCO (Monaco) is included in the FRA — France.txt file
    * SMR (San Marino) is included in the ITA — Italy.txt file

When modders use automated utilities to batch-slice databases based strictly on official country ISO tags, it leads to technical absurdity.

A prime example is France. A blind utility, relying solely on the ISO code, dumps France's overseas territories (DOM-TOM) straight into the "European" package. This includes Réunion and Mayotte in Africa, Guadeloupe and Martinique in the Caribbean, and French Guiana in South America.

As a result, a typical European driver ends up with a massive list of files for countries located on the other side of the globe. The navigator is then forced to waste CPU resources indexing coordinates of speed cameras in the Atlantic or Indian Oceans—locations that will absolutely never appear on the driver's route.

    FAQ OSC VB code

How to correctly set direction for cameras capturing oncoming traffic (front-facing) vs. receding traffic (rear-facing).

How to correctly split camera notifications into two types: the first type captures oncoming traffic, and the second type captures passing traffic, which is marked as In the back in the OSC database.

Spoiler: " In the back" checkbox.
