Skin iGO nextgen by pongo (DISCUSSION)

Sometimes it's better not to ask, but to activate/deactivate *every* single menu item in the skin and observe on the map what action is performed as a result – that's the only way to learn the skin better and better.........

I didn't even activate the Cockpit button [Google Maps in the Cockpit], because if I need Google/Maps, I'll just start the app 👍😉

Where its the point to have gmaps in cockpit?
Its just another plugin wich increase the plugins number And as you said "if i want gmaps i open gmaps"
That its how must be
The nav pourpouse its to take you from point A to point B
All the rest are unnecessary ,like button gmaps,spotify ,etc etc
Its a navigation system not shortcut to social network or other things

hello guys. i have some problems/bugs with iGO Pal and skin Pongo last versio. so i use iGO_Pal from Boki's post v9.18.27.719974 Apk and skin Pongo with data.zip / ux folders and sys.txt and i meet this problems.

1. when i search for an adress that marker/pointer dosen't stay selected on map. he dissappearing from selected address in 2 seconds and somehow returns to car position

2. the sound in general is gone after a while even in settings is not muted. i have to exit iGO and after i open again he work again for a while

3. i use skin mod color for both daytime and nigh with tom tom scheme for day and night and i have to make separate settings for that (i dont know why) but when its changing day scheme with night and vicevesa i have transparent buttons and settings are lost in skin settings

sorry for my bad english but i really need a little help here. thanks in advice

PS. device i use is PNI s932Pro android 13 screen resolution 1024x600

Under 2) it is most likely a device/system problem

The device has very basic hardware.

I suspect that's where the problems stem from.

update: I had some tests and I moved weather.zip to another folder and that marker/pointer stays selected on map without returning to gps position and he act like should be. after I give internet to iGO pal with weather in UX folder and he works again. I noticed if I don't use internet and weather.zip is in the UX folder that marker/pointer don't work. any fix for this?

Hmm, this implies something else.
Or I think the problem is in the skin itself, or you haven't set the display resolution properly. It's also possible that you have too many active ux files on such a small screen.‚There is an overlap between them.
And when I say small screen, I don't mean physically small, but rather a small resolution.
On such devices it is best to use the basic package and add a few uxes as needed.

Hi everybody,

Because I have some display issues with Luna on chinese car radio (which is a fake Android 14 => android 10), I'm reworking my setup to install skin Pongo on Nextgen World and the customizing I made in some ux.

But before going step forward, I have a strange latency time on the back button to return to the main menu :
I'm opening the menu, choose an item, and then, when pressing on the back menu, it takes 3 seconds to react and go back to the main menu.
If the menu entry has a submenu, the action on back button is immediate to go back this menu entry.

Without PONGO skin, the back button to main menu is reacting quickly.
I tried with different versions of the skin, and with iGo Israel, with an android 9 phone, on android 13, on the car radio : same result.
With skin Lolo, there is no latency.

Do you have an idea why it is so slow ?

I have tried with basic package too . same result for me . and same result on my phone too. Xiaomi Redmi note 13 pro plus resolution 2712x1220. same results I have on both devices. until I remove weather.zip
