Hello.
The multimedia I use in my vehicle is android 6.0.1.
Sounds do not work in any of the igoprimo nextgen versions I use.
In Primo versions, on the other hand, tts sounds are problematic.
I would like help with solving the problem.
What does a video like this mean to us? [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
What happens with standard voices? Are you sure your lang/voice files and TTS engine in system are OK?
Skin or w/o it, etc etc...
Provide all details about unit, software and setup.
Otherwise, topic will be trashed.

Yes, same problem for me. TTS engine and radio app can't work. I tried to install others engines, and still same problem. My guess is that HU have a bug in that software version, because on android phone FM radio and TTS engine can work OK. New update of head unit could fix this problem maybe.
Video (Radio app in background, TTS not working, other apps in background, TTS working)

Other solution on some devices is to set Google-TTS engine as default GPS application. Like that, system could recognize the sound from iGO using Google-TTS engine.
But because that system ignores any TTS engine with Radio app in background, do not know if that trick will work.
For me, no, because system doesn't offer me to set TTS engine as GPS default app, it's not on the list, just other apps but no TTS engine.
Reading this forum I learned that iGO can use internal TTS engine. And with that, tts voice will come from GPS app itself (in this case iGO) and not from Google-TTS.
As far as I understood, I need: -iGO version that support internal TTS engine
-internal tts engine - tts_nua_ve1
-and propper TTS voice file
I did a quick test on my phone first. I download this TTS voices for wince. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
I use tts_nua_ve1 folder and voice zip.
And it's working on my phone. I'll try that on Head Unit, if this solves the problem with radio app on HU and I guess it should, then it's nice way to fix that problem.
But then I wonder, how can I create or find that internal tts engine tts_nua_ve1 for my language, croatian? My quick test was with english voice.
So far I used VocalizerEx2 TTS engine. From this site I would download croatian language.
Can I use some files from that download to create tts_nua_ve1 for croatian?
That's what I don't understand, how create tts_nua_ve1 internal engine for your own language?

If it was that simple, everyone would do it.
You can not. It takes a lot of programming knowledge and that creators give you access to the source code.
VocalizerEx2 is an old, was temporary and obsolete solution.
You can try Alfanum.
However, what you need to understand is the problem in the device, that is, the implementation of the android system.
If it's crippled, impoverished, lacking in functions ... you have a lot to bother.

They are created by the local collaborators of the one who invented the engine.
For WinCE are developed on demand and specifications by MicroSoft and NNG. This was initially transferred to Android, and then the need for better mechanisms arose.
This is how many were created, developed by various developers, and according to Google's specifications. Most of them were published in: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Google has its own engine, of course, built into the system.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] supports our languages from these areas.

Internal engine (english) did solved the problem, but when there is no croatian language, I can't use that engine.
I found a solution for my problem.
Because I used VocalizerEx2 engine, Head Unit system did not show/offer that application in the list as default GPS app, same thing with Google-engine.
So I did try Alfanum engine, and then I could put that engine as default GPS app. And then system recognized that TTS sound, and then I can have Radio app in background with navigation.
Only bad thing with that is, button on HU will not lunch navigation app, or if you have straight wheel control same thing.
Radio app in background with navigation, no sound = solution = put TTS engine as GPS app.
VocalizerEx2 is old, but I really like that sound for my language (language downloaded from freedomscientific site)
Alfanum sounds to me like a machine.
I just tested with Code Factory Vocalizer, much better and close what I have with VocalizerEx2. Sounds like is't not 100% smoothly. I will play with settings.
But its all a matter of personal taste what engine you like
@Suleyman
If you have not solve your problem, try put Google engine as GPS app, if you can't do that, use some other engine and set it as GPS app in Head Unit.
