Thread: NEWBIE [and THE OTHERS :)] PROBLEMS with NG INSTALATIONS

I have NextGen 9.18.27.719974 on two mobile phones. On the old one (Blackview BV6000) it displays online traffic properly. On the new one (Blackview BV9800 Pro), the Traffic item is missing from the main menu altogether. The configuration files are mostly the same (with unrelated minor adjustments), but the new device has current maps (HERE Europe Q4 2023) and the old one has them from 2021 or so. I also tried several other configurations, which didn't help either. Have I overlooked something obvious?

Same apk? Updated? Same sys file? Same lics? Same map provider? Same globalcfg (latest)?
Copy part from save folder from older phone to newer, try to find which one by yourself (discussed already, there is whole topic about it)

Try to use TTS, but even then problems can occur
But, this has been discussed many times. Causes - the device itself, ie the system/launcher ... energy saving policies - working in background, permissions, some internal software (cleaner or whatever), driver problem (device related) etc etc
check everything carefully, you can change the sound channel on which the application communicates. Try to find it yourself on the forum, in proper section

can be deleted, was a reading problem, error fixed.

I had same (or similar) problem with navigation not announcing exits from highway.

Using TTS, and my app version is Israel 9.18.27.687519

At first I also blamed long silence, but reason was not there.
Found sulution for my problem after about one year of experimenting with everything possible.
Finally, solution was to change in 'Settings -> Sound' option 'Say Road Names in Native Language Area' to 'Just Maneuvres'.
With any other option activated I don't get exit from highway announcement.
So I had to choose between road names and highway exits.

Extract the zip and copy iGo folder in the root of your device. Then install APK and grant all permissions. If Play Protect shows up saying that the app is unsafe tap on install anyway. Fill the content folder and use appropriate licenses if needed.

VR - Issue... I really tried search all 61 pages of this thread to VR Mentions, and I dont find any (I even download each of page and searc it, as I didnt find easy "Search this topic" function. I also see, that Luna on A12 --> A13 losts its VR input + weather support. I even tried to download latest actual luna from Google Play, and use its UX's (vr,hg search,weather) but it didnt work either - "cured" Luna doesnt start.

Unfortunatelly I dont know, how to decompile .lua files. I dont think, its matter of Android OS, more like calling older A12 functions wihtin older (9.35.2.153810) version? Too bad that iGo just didnt call system keyboard, that would solve this..
