You like TTS_nuance, i like Google TTS, what are you trying to prove?
Instead I use igo Nextgen for only three years, before AVIC and now ISRAEL. With AVIC I used the Nuance Vocalizer Expressive, and now with Israel the internal tts_nua_ve1, less cumbersome and more practical.
What you call Google TTS is nothing more than the engine for the Vocalizer, has nothing to do with the voice of Google, you can call it as you like, even Apple TTS, but nothing changes, remains an engine for Vocalizers .....

It is not a matter of personal taste, you are thinking of using Google TTS voices, but in reality it is not true.
iGO can not use the Google TTS voice and that's it. It works that way and we can not do anything about it......
Since you still do not believe what I tell you, so it is better that someone also answers who is more experienced than me, but the fact that two moderators have clicked Like to my posts it should already lead you to think I'm right.
Try to find the TTS Google voice in iGO settings.
Cannot find it ? No, because it is not there.
It makes no difference if you choose the Google TTS voice in the TTS settings in Android, iGO uses the TTS you added in the program.

To hear speech output you require a speech engine to be installed on your device[phone, in car unit etc]
As i have previously stated i use the Android default engine-Google TTS output engine.
You have to download your choice of language and gender. You can also set the voice pitch and rate.
This then is what you will hear on your output device.
The file that you enter into "content/voice" is only the book that the speech engine reads from.
So you see, what you hear is the google TTS voice reading from your selected text input.
The name that the voice says is written into the info file within the voice file, and if you have Serena written and choose a male voice you will get Serena speaking as a man.
For years I used an older version of igo primo with wav files for speed camera warnings.
Recently I bought a new phone (Android 9) and my old good igo primo doesn't work anymore.
So now after a lot of reading I managed to gather ..
1. iGO Basar 9.18.27.736574 - 13.June 2018
It works ok
2. Universal unisex TTS and engines v.1.x
Greek lang works ok
3. Vocalizer_e_tts_1.0.2.3t + Greek melina voice
It works ok
but I can't get the speedcameras warnings work in my phone !!!
I've tried many different sys.txt with no success.
How can I make it work ? Or it just can't be done ?
Speedcam alert help
I'm using iGO_World v.9.18.27.736653 - 19.JUN.2018. on android phone.
I would like to have voice alert for speedcam something like: Speed Camera Ahead.
At the moment I have visual and sound alert it only beeps when I approaching camera, but no voice warning.
My guess is I have to edit sys.txt file and should have that audio voice for that warning, right?
I looked up voice folder and for language pack I'm using, didn't find any audio file that would sound like: Speed Camera Ahead.
Can anybody help me how setup alerts so voice can warn me about speed camera ahead?
check if you have those lines into your sys.txt
[warning]
speedcam_warning=1
speedcam_max_lookahead=1000 ;Ne pas voir trop de radars sur la ligne d'horizon
overspeed_sound=0
say_camera_distance=1
say_camera_speed_limit=1
;speedcam_maxdistance_from_road=15
speedcam_maxdistance_from_road=10
speedcam_enabled=1
is_spoken=1
Thank you for reply, @Phildu91
No that lines in my sys.
I have only this:
[warning]
speedcam_maxdistance_from_road=10
speedcam_enabled=1
speedcam_warning=1
is_spoken=1
I tried with your lines, but no luck. Just beeps sound for camera.
Here is my sys if it helps:

look at this topic [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
or
1) Plug your device on computer and create a folder named VocalizerEx2
2) Download [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] unzip and install the apk on your device
3) Visit "https://vocalizer-nvda.com/downloads#voice-bundles" and download your language. It will be better if you download Premium High
3) Rename that file adding .zip at the end and open it
4) Extract all files and folders of the zip to this folder (created on Step 1)
(Now you can unplug your device)
5) On your device, go to Settings > Language and Input > Text-to-speech output and then select VocalizerEx2 TTS
6) Add TTS voice of your choice to iGO\content\voice on your device
7) Run iGO
8) Select the TTS voice of your choice in Settings->Regional->Guidance voice
9) Check if this is ok
