Thank you modemakias and marx for your comments.
I compared "040a freetext lua.vfb" and "_ESP_040a_SPE.vf1" with versions I had already found in the forum, and they look the same.
I run some tests.
When I use ux files you provided, "vr.zip" and "free_text_vr.zip", from last pongo, I cannot see the microphone icon and cannot activate VR.
As it is running OK on your side I imagine that in last pongo skin may be some additional ux file or configuration that make VR work.
Could it be possible some adjustment in sys.txt?
If I substitute "vr.zip" pongo version with "vr.zip" provided by marx, no microphone icon/no VR.
If I substitute "free_text_vr.zip" pongo version with "free_text_vr.zip" provided by marx, I can see microphone and activate VR, independently of which "vr.zip" version I use.
But, again, very basic VR functionality, I just get 1 word "listened" by VR, the word is not repeated in load voice as I have seen in some videos, and the result of VR is showing a list of items in Places or Favourites in iGO, in numbered lines, but I cannot say a second command to select a line or move accross the list. Very basic, and almost useless as it is now.
What would be your next recommendation?
I tried also with and without "gpsandmore_vr.zip" and see no difference.
I removed phonemes and did not see any difference. So I will keep them removed.
Internet is working OK, Ggoogle app installed and working, and Spanish is language 1 (and only, not any one else in the phone settings list)
Finally, if I keep everything as this Gift version was first posted and just substitute the "free_text_vr.zip" in ux with the one posted by marx, I get the same functionality: microphone icon enabled, I can activate VR, but just 1 word listened by VR and output of a search in Places/Favourites, with no additional interaction.
I wish I could manage to improve this.
The first phrase VR says when activated, something like "say a word ...." is an English text that sounds strange read in Spanish TTS. If VR doesn't understand or find that word, next messages are correctly written and read in Spanish.
But again a list, with no further interaction.
