I think it depends on the country and the number of users in this country. That may differ.

To be honest, it’s hard for me to give a fair comparison because I haven't used a dedicated TomTom device in years. My experience with them is quite dated.
As a smartphone user, I consider myself a 'basic' navigator. I mostly rely on Google Maps on my iPhone for quick trips because of the live traffic data and the ease of searching for places.
However, the real reason I’m here is my car units. My Erisin (WinCE) and Peugeot RT4 don't have internet connectivity. This has left them somewhat obsolete and 'out of use' lately. That is exactly what I want to change! My goal is to update these offline systems with the latest 2024 maps and a great UI like WolfNCU, so they can be fully functional and reliable again without needing a phone data plan.
For me, there's a special reliability in a well-updated offline GPS. No signal drops, no battery drain on the phone, and a clean interface integrated into the dashboard. That’s the 'second life' I'm looking for!"

Waze good program, it's a pity it doesn't support the truck
TomTom is one of the best for live trafic and safety cameras. Best maps and routings
Tomtom is quite good but I think Google Maps is more accurate.
I like OsmAnd app for Android phone. Can download several maps for free.
TomTom remains one of the best navigation programs over google maps, if it updated the maps more often it would be a big plus, it would have no rival
You seem to be unfamiliar with the NDS concept
Small incremental updates, monthly and even more often. Major update quarterly, global every 6 months ...
In Lithuania im using Waze, it's really good and shows police cameras.
In poland - Yanosik (shows police cameras).
In germany i use google maps + blitzer.de (for police cameras).
When i was in USA, best was apple maps - was showing really good exits from motorways, never had a problem or tooked wrong road.
Never used Tom-tom.
I am using google maps and yandex. But none of them updates very frequently, and pois are also wrong in eastern europe.
