Default Which is better, Google Maps or TomTom?

Please someone to explain to me how TomTom follows traffic jams. Please just don't mention any roadside sensors. Where did you see that. It's a hoax. TomTom is far weaker in real-time traffic congestion than Google Maps. Navigation.

I only admit the facts. These are the facts. In Belgrade (Serbia), TomTom Android Navigation shows traffic jams. But, insufficient and of poor quality.

The first picture shows that TomTom has information about the crowd and suggests a great alternative.

Please explain to me why the TomTom does not show, as usual, the crowd next to the "Ada Mall" Shopping Center, picture below. I knew that there was always traffic congestion on that highway at that time, but I went to check why the traffic was not visible in TomTom. Of course, Navigation Google Maps correctly displays the crowd that is also seen in my driving photos.

The screenshots show that it was the time of the first photo 11:23:46 and the second 11:30:28, which proves that the crowd was really serious. I lost 7 minutes and was late while crossing 500 meters.

I am an ectronic engineer and I must always be precise and correct. I'm not employed by Google Maps! I bought a PDA TomTom Start 42, I have a license for Android TomTom GO Navigation, so I love TomTom Navigation. However, I do not use it because it is a bad display of traffic jams and thus navigation in a big city, such as Belgrade, is unusable. Unfortunately!

Therefore, Google Maps has the best view of traffic jams. That's why I think it's the BEST NAVIGATION. And it will stay that way because other navigations will never be able to accurately show traffic jams.

    EDIT 1
Opposing views are expressed only by the so-called bots (Robots), employed by TomTom company.
I will not quote their "great affirmative " posts (on Quora), only their positions in that company are enough:

    1) TomTom support engineer at TomTom (2007-present)
    2) Application Engineer at TomTom

Such are those who have an interest in writing affirmatively or, I apologize, incompetent and amateur users of the worst Android navigation, Sygic Aura. Once when they deleted me from the list of BETA testers on FB, I signed up again and now it doesn't say anything, I'm just reading nonsense, which is similar to those on the GPS Power forum. There is no critical analysis here. Suffice it to say that someone said about the terrible version of Beta Sygic 20.0.1 that "it promises, but it's still early. It's just changing the algorithm” . Shame! On the closed Facebook "Beta Sygic group", ordinary and real users write that Sygic is a terrible navigation and document it with pictures...

    EDIT 2 :
RItuparna Das, Application Engineer at TomTom: "TomTom really shines in the real-time traffic department. In the UK, the system tracks every iPhone and Vodafone customer that has their GPS setting enabled, and updates its traffic system based on movement every 60 seconds. Because of this, you’re constantly fed the quickest routes available, letting you skirt around traffic jams and road works with ease".

Yes, indeed, Shines! Notorious nonsense. Seems everyone in the UK uses an iPhone and the provider is Vodafone... I love such well-argued explanations of experts...

I do non know, how TomTom follows traffic jam.

But if you are hurry to work or meeting try to use Waze navigation installed in your smartphone. It is free.

I know, it depends on mobile internet access. But I use it if I need know the traffic is continuous or not (Slovakia)
Waze works great, I can recomend it.

Google Maps is indeed Waze but Waze is not so much Google Maps. Waze are champions in map updating. Google Maps is a disgrace in updating maps. And thinking that Google are the same "parents" for both of them. Therefore, the right question should be "Which is better, Waze or TomTom?"

I think that Waze is the best. From what I know it is the only one that alerts you for the mobile radars.

Google maps is better because it's free and you get live updates all the time which are 99% precise

It really depends on what country you are in. Google Maps would be much better than Waze in Ireland for example.
