I've got a VDO Dayton pn4000 and the sofware is very good.
But I can't find the way to update maps. S I've installed Igo Primo 2.4 and works fine.
That's why I've installed it on my phone too, simply to keep the same interrface. And I'm totally satisfied.
I am trying to go with a smart phone and I posted here so I can start up a new thread![]()
TomTom Go is my favo, using it on mutliple devices next to my Garmin Zumo on the motorbike, and as long if there is 3-4G it does the job better than my garmin, I always make route's before a trip and must say the online mydrive works like a charm.
Sync my routes direct to the app and on route keeps track of road blocks and stuf, what i really miss on my Garmin. IGO is second to that but TomTom seems to work a lot smoother.
All the things I need to know are in IGO,

Stand alone GPS is my favorite and Garmin is by far the best. Long time ago I had Magellan, which wasn't bad but it's no match to Garmin. What I like about the Garmin that you can have a lot of tweaks and customization's.
If you take your time, you can buy very cheap on ebay.
Also any phone software no match to Garmin GPS. With Garmin you have strong mount on the dash, steady power, satellite, traffic, speed and red light camera alert.
I heard that Garmin sales are down because mobile phone competition, but I don't plan to ditch it any time soon.

I've been using iGO navigation on my Xperia Z4 Tablet for years because for me it's the most customizable. Currently my favourite is the Pongo skin with truck options, weather and traffic information.

For me, the best Navigation application for mobile phone is iGo. It works very well in offline mode, and for my land, every street is correct.
I use Igo Primo on Xgody satnav with truck maps which has never let me down in the UK or EU. I also have a Garmin which I find very awkward to use and it will try to send me on the most stupid routes for example down footpaths and private farm tracks.
Hello ,hapy new year 2024 ..I've been using igo for many years, from windows and later to Android, I find it very easy to use and simple for every user, but I also miss garmin navigon sygic, which are not supported especially for the newest devices... also sometimes I use the tom tom
