    I suggest that PCB number is in firmware in crypted (so as ID-PID-SID for map ID in HEX) Garmin format like other similar numbers...
    For example, HEX expresion for voice files present in body of that files - device find and show PartNumber in inventory,
    <PartNumber>006-D0397-00</PartNumber> <FileName>English_American_.vpm</FileName>
    <PartNumber>006-D0400-00</PartNumber> <FileName>Deutsch__.vpm</FileName>
    <PartNumber>006-D0401-00</PartNumber> <FileName>Francais_European_.vpm</FileName>

    Hi....i am having problem with flashing the 5.10 fw for US set and mixed with a 2.80 SG/MY fw....

    It keeps hanging at the image not found screen and refuse to go on....

    Anyone succeed in mixing the 5.10 US fw with 2.80 SG fw?

    @robinang

    You must take boot.bin from US firmware 5.10 and fw_resource.bin and fw_all.bin from SG 2.80.
    Then you must change with rgn tool number of HWID and SWID to number of us boot.bin.

    If you have boot.blk number 972 here is flash for you to convert US to SG.
    Dont forget to change your folder VOICE and TEXT to voice1 and text1 and then copy to your unit SG folder voice and text.

    It starts to display some weird image...
    A lot of the images would not be displayed and will show "image not found" wordings....
    Was not able to take a shot but i have since flashed with the 4.90 and chn_logo and now it works....

    Will i be able to flash the 510?

    I did that but only to find the image not found error.

    Something i found, the order for the fw_resource.bin and fw_all.bin is diff in the 5.10 US fw than the SG 2.80 FW....

    Which order should i follow?

    Oh man i edited my post cos i misread ur msg....
    I realised in 510 and 490 US fw...the order is diff...
    so just wanna find out which order should i follow if i am mixing the US and SG fw.....
