If you have done with original US gcd saved to .rgn so your unit now come back to original US unit.
Because you got stuck so I just advice you to get original firmware and then you can step forward carefully.
You have to know what you are doing then you won't miss somethings.

At first., you have to know what hwid of your unit is.

When you opened your original US firmware and saved to .rgn --> what did RGN_Tool say about hwid ?
It is your hwid of your unit.

When you flash your nuvi with mod .rgn ., you have to know hwid.

You have to check hwid within boot.bin & fw_all from the mod .rgn file.
Both have to the same number as your unit hwid.

    I know.
Do you have this in your garmindevice.xml:

    - <Model>
    <PartNumber>006-B0971-00</PartNumber>
    <SoftwareVersion>530</SoftwareVersion>
    <Description>nüvi 1200</Description>

or do you have something else?

I must know your partnumber to help you enable jcv.
