UnRAR then you get updater.exe inside.

You need Pre-boot mode.

Do I need to use RGN or GCD?

Is updater.exe the same as the "web updater" from garmin?

- You should use RGN.
- Updater.exe is for .rgn file only.
- only updater.exe can fix problem when Nuvi get rebooting loop after converting.

-This is Updater.exe we said in this thread , not webupdater.exe.

H/R is not a must, it just should be done.

For H/R, should it be done BEFORE or AFTER flashing? Or both?

So if I understand it correctly, it's always safe to just rename the text, voice, and keyboard folders to other names BEFORE flashing and put them back to their original names AFTER flashing?

H/R both.

Renaming :: is not always safe.
ie. Renaming & failure in case of 3790US-->3790Sg/My 2.50

Because your 37xx is US (HWID 1101).
So HWID for all parts must be 1101. and boot.bin must be US boot.bin
