So HWID for all parts must be 1101. and boot.bin must be US boot.bin
    swv is up to you.
Ok. What if I have SG/Mal 2.30 already on my nuvi and I run webupdater, will it still prompt me to install US 4.1?

How about regarding renaming the folders? This is the only thing that's stopping me from installing the SG/Mal 2.3 on my US 3790T since I don't know if I should rename or not, I still don't understand that part

will it still prompt me to install US 4.1 --> Yes, correct !
Because rgn_Tool v0.74 will edit hwid 1288 to be 1101 as boot.bin so webupdater will detect as US unit(1101) and because your Nuvi still be US 1101.

    rename it.
when success --> rename it back to original name.

Which folders should I rename? Keyboard, text, and voice ONLY? Can I change them to any name?

Please correct me if I'm wrong for the order of the .bin files:

    For .GCD files:
    1) boot.bin
    2) fw_all.bin
    3) fw1_resources.bin

    For .RGN files:
    1) boot.bin
    2) fw1_resources.bin
    3) fw_all.bin

Is this correct? Because the .RGN files I've created with RGN tool has the 2nd order and the original SG/Mal .GCD files that I've downloaded has the 1st order.

I'm sure about rgn file., fw_all.bin must be the last.
Please check .bin order of rgn file before flashing.
I always use rgn file to flash.

Ok. So if I override the SW version to 4.10, webupdater will still detect that I have the latest US firmware?

I was successful in flashing SG/Mal 2.30 to my US 3790T but why is it that under "software version" in settings 2.30 is still the version? In my RGN file, the SWV of boot.bin and fw_all.bin is 410. Is this normal?

If you overrided swv for fw_all.bin to be 410 (from RGN_Tool) so you will get
    - swv410 (in inventory page)
    -swv230 (in Tools-->settings-->system-->about)

But is is normal and you can use all of Sg/My features.
If you want swv4.10 in About, you need more editing within fw_all.bin by Hex editor.

Oh ok. By the way, what is the difference between fw1_resource.bin and fw_all.bin?

Also, I noticed that with SG/Mal 2.30, the autocomplete feature is not working when searching for an address in where to. In US 4.1 it is working. For example, when I type "Ten" in US 4.10 it will immediately recognize it as "Tennessee" while in SG/Mal 2.3 I should type the whole word "Tennessee". Is this normal?

I also noticed that my Roadguide Philippines 1.24 Map doesn't have icon for the POIs that's why it isn't displaying the icons while navigating even though I'm already at SG/Mal 2.3 firmware. How do I add icons in my POIs?

Lastly, how can we go back to US 4.10 firmware? Is it simple as transferring the gupdate.gcd US 4.10 to the .system directory and turn on the device?
