I'm not particularly a great fan of Garmin Express at the moment. Have a look at this thread: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
As to your question whether GE will find it's way to the oem map and associated unl and gma after moved off the unit to a microSD, try it an see, but i'm tipping only will do that if the files were originally installed there by a Garmin method.
