Oh well, hope some one finds the information about how to access the Edge 800 diagnostic menu & how how to find the apparently encrypted MicroSd card CID numbers useful

Go to Wrench -> System -> GPS -> View Satellites
Touch and hold the upper left corner of the screen until the diagnostic-screen appears
