Dvazg,
will that utility work finding the serial on my Micro Sd on my 62s/
thanks
I tried the utlity and I can't get the SD number either. I also tried to find it using my 265wt, and on the data card test page, it states "no card"
Maybe it is MMC not SD?
OK so if I now get the sdCard ID can I just paste this number into a gmapsupp.unl file? Otherwise please give some tech info for us lesser mortals to understand. Grazie!
I know how to unlock the maps using all the linked utilities on this forum and they work just fine. I would thank you profusely but you won't allow me to!
I was just wondering if you experts could give me some inside info into using the sdCard ID. Otherwise what is the point in finding it out if I can't use it?
Is the 8 digit number in hex code? Because the unlock code is 25 digits, right? So do I need to plug this number (in 10 digit decimal - same as the gps id) into the JetMouse keygen and use the generated number in the .unl file.
I am sure this stuff is intuitive to you guys but it is a complete mystery to me.
Sure, I understand I don't NEED to use it with your easy unlocking software but....
Otherwise, what is the point of discovering the sd card ID using the above software?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I don't like just blindly using a solution, I prefer to understand it. Purely acedemic of course. You guys have given us a gem of info but no clue on how to apply it. That drives me nuts!

you need sd id to generate the unl file with JM
we have nice tutorials ,read them

in some devices is better to have the map and its unl file instead of the "Fast unlocked map" or it must be needed like in cityxplorers to have pedestrian function and transports

You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
Yes, catymag, I agree they are wonderful tutorials and I have read them all.
BUT it still does not answer any of my questions above unless I completely missed the section you mean.
We are talking about the sdCard ID, not the gps ID. I was unable to find any information in the above links relating to how to use the sdCard ID to generate an xyz.unl file, or if the ID is in hex or decimal.
If you look at the map ID code of an img file in a hex editor the numbers are reversed. Is it the same for the sdCard ID in this software?
So what it the point of the software link provided above? Sorry but I cannot for the life of me see the connection to these issues and the tutorial links. I must be really thick!
Never mind, I guess I will have to find the answer elsewhere. Thanks anyhow for the links.
