Thread: Convert fenix 5S/5/5X Plus to D2 Delta S/Delta/Delta PX

Successfully flashed a 5X Plus to a D2 Delta PX using the file from Mega. Everything works with the exception that Garmin Express doesn't show an option to update aviation databases via a button to launch the flyGarmin web site. That said by going to flyGamin and adding the now D2 Delta PX, it is possible to load / update the aviation database.

Perhaps the following might help someone...

I initially flashed f5P1300_to_D2Delta610.gcd, where I thought I could upgrade to 7.00 via flashing f5P1530_to_D2Delta700.gcd. But the watch only deleted the file without offering to apply the upgrade. Then I tried to flash one of the backdate files, but they were just deleted as well. Finally I applied D2Delta700_to_f5P1530_Alternative.gcd to a 6.10 flash and that took, where I was able to then flash f5P1530_to_D2Delta700.gcd.

Identical to a discussion on Garmin's forum, Garmin Express shows V6.10 though V7.00 is flashed.

For reference my (real) D2 Delta to date has not been offered V7.00.
