Well, yes and no. Depending on the GPS hw fitted to 3790 it seems. Some receivers handle the 34x0 fw better so it's the luck of the draw. My 2 converted units have reduced but acceptable accuracy. Other users haven't been so lucky. Mine are early production units, but that might not mean anything. Short answer, it's not a myth [but not such a big problem for some].

Oh ok. Are you saying that there are different hw for different 3790's? What is the model of your 2 converted units?
