Sorry not writing immediately about my trip results.
3790T - first 200 km. - perfect accuracy - 7 to 15 m. But then, after a tunnel passage, the accuracy gone. The unit returns to it's bad accuracy performance of average 15 to 30-40 meters and not revive to better one despite restarts and cold start. I have a clue why, but for time being cannot say more, because in my anger I left the unit to a friend saying to him:
It's yours for any tests. If you can find the reason why it is behave like this I will give you the unit for free.
I'm still waiting the results.
The only reason 3790 to behave like this in my opinion is that the track log made, became too big and influenced somehow the unit's accuracy. Of course - I'm not sure at all that this is the reason.
Then I got my 3597. So far I may say – I love this unit! But I said the same when I got my 3790, couple of years ago….
The gap between units could be seen immediately. 3597 is faster, softer in response, more advanced in any aspect.
The accuracy is perfect - 3 to 5 meters in driving conditions. It seems for me a bit unrealistic, but that are units readings. That accuracy was reached with same signal strength and same or less number of satellites. That is comparing accuracy of 3790 to 3597.
In tunnels 3597 loosing satellite signal too, but immediately after being out of it, the unit catch them again.
So far no complains, even may say that 3597 exceeds my expectations. Monday next long drive will follow, but I’m not expecting problems.
Will report when and if I get back my 3790.
