Yes, Must do this to clear the "Hotfix Information" Nuvi will re-create files with new info.
If you do cold-start it will have the same effect.
You can also just delete the GPS folder - Nuvi Should recreate the folder.
If you decide to re-convert to 3490 do this again after re-convert.
