    Hey everyone, I just got an European Garmin nuvi 3597LMTHD and I've been wondering, if it's possible to enable the Video Playback feature on it. I've followed lolypop000's steps, but got stuck right at the start. I've extracted the 'For backup region 140.rar' folder onto an empty SD card and then inserted it into my nuvi, but it didn't work. The device started as usual, without any reboots. So after reading through this thread, I thought maybe I have to rename the Garmin/Update/1258 folder, so I changed it to 1101. Now, when I fired up the nuvi, it did reboot, but after opening the SD card, I haven't found any reg_140.bin files. Did this ever happen to anyone, if so, what's the solution?

    In Europe 3597 only LMT, without HD. With digital traffic it must be 3598LMTD
    359x have different software then 37xx/34xx and i think this method to enable some features doesn't work on it.

    Right, sorry, my bad, I just copied the name off the website, because I couldn't remember it. Now, that I checked the back of the nuvi, it says 3597LMT.

    1101 is HWID of nuvi 3790 and for 3597 is 1258.
    You can't enable video on nuvi 3597

    Thanks! I'll check it out.

    Can I use the write module for 35xx, if I change the 1258 folder to 1603? (from your previous post)

    I tried using the old 35xx write module, and it didn't work. After turning the nuvi on, it showed the Garmin logo and then crashed (turned off).

    My mistake, nuvi 3597 have HWID 1603, Hwid 1258 is for nuvi 35xx.

    Nuvi series 35xx and 35x7 is not the same, you need corect pack for nuvi 3597 with hwid 1603 if you only change name of folder to 1603 scan will not work.

    This is for scan region 140 on nuvi 35x7:

    I already tell you that if you rename folder flash will not work also if you read first post you will se how to create pack.

    Here is pack for write region 140 back:

    I also tell you that you can't enable mp3 or video player on this nuvi.

    Sorry to bring the post to this thread.

    I tried flash the 140.bin to my device but not the one you sent.
    Cos photoreal JCV my device already have. natural guidance i think my device dosen't support.
    so i created the 140.bin with only Historic Traffic, Advanced Detour and Custom Main Screen enabled.
    The result was only historic traffic was added to the menu. don't see any menu to advanced detours and custom main screen.
    i think the other 2 are not supported in my device.
