Thread: Honda Goldwing 2006-2008 Navi GPS Firmware Update Versions 4.60 & 4.70

Can you give me the original 4.50 gupdate.gcd? I want to use boot.bin from it.
Also I've just found that gupdate.gcd from HondaGW2006-2008-HWID265-EU-RELEASE.rar was not built exactly as I wanted.
It could cause infinite update reboots, as fw_all.bin's version in gupdate.gcd was not equal to the real fw_all.bin's version (2.60).
Instead it was equal to boot.bin's version (4.60). This is due to my GCD utility's nature. I removed the file and I will reupload it when it's fixed.

I've updated the release for US HWID265 based on EU HWID504 v2.60 firmware with voices pack inside:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

And here is the original US v4.50 firmware with original voices inside:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

would it be may I ask you to post the gupdater.gcd that you created for downloading the rgn dumps in the thread ?

Be carefully because we are testing these mods but we have found some problems.
The second file only restore the navigation software but the voice doesn't run, so the unit is mute.
The first one seems to run correctly but the unit freeze after about half an hour *if* there isn't a route active.

I think we can reach a good result but the job is not end.

I am working on other things . I am in the US so I have no need for the mods you are working on,but I am glad to help anyway I can. I know that the gupdater.gcd that you were using for the dumps will allow me to dump the rgns with
the right script. Why duplicate what has already been done and done better than I could do it.

With firmware 2.60 the map freezes, that happens both in Europe (2007-2009) and in the U.S., but if given the zoom button works again, also this only happens if you have map screen and bottom bar of miles, musica etc..

If you put the full screen gps does not freeze and works properly.

Tomorrow I will try out the voices of USA of a gps to add to the repository.

Con el firmware 2.60 se congela el mapa, eso ocurre tanto en las europeas (2007-2009), como en las americanas, pero si se da al boton de zoom vuelve a funcionar, ademas esto solo ocurre si en pantalla se tiene mapa y barra inferior de millas, musica, etc.

Si se pone el gps a pantalla completa no se congela y funciona correctamente.

Mañana intentare sacar las voces de USA de un gps para poder añadirlas al repositorio.

In my experience the map freeze in full screen also.
