    boot.bin is not bootloader, it's ramloader, and "boot.bin" is a misnomer. It's only needed for writing data from RGN or GCD to the flash chip. And after that it disappears. It's not saved anywhere on the device.
    I don't think that map update contains GCD file with boot.bin.
    Yes, i did know that boot.bin is not bootloader ('coz i remember you telling someone [ddabcd277 maybe?] something like this: "OMG, I didn't think anyone understood all that sh*t i wrote about bootloaders and ramloaders ....."). Knowing that doesn't mean understanding it unfortunately.

    If only the GCD flashing functionality is implemented in sys.bin... I'm checking that.
    UPD: apparently sys.bin can't flash GCD without boot.bin
    Can you 'make' a boot.bin to suit?
