    Try format your nuvi with prepusb and then add nam Garmin and not GARMIN, maybe then you will have garmindevice.xml inside.

    Here is tutorial and prepusb: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    There are instruction in starting post, read them . Load cure, format , load original firmware, after that create Garmin folder in Nuvi.
    If Nuvi creates garmindevice.xml you can start Webupdater and get needed flies.
    Ask for missing files if Webupdater wont load all.

    You have to navigate to get to the good.

    Nobody can help if you don't tell us what have you done (detailed)
    1)have you entered preboot mode?
    2)have you loaded kunix's cure?
    3 have you format nuvi with RMPrepUSB?
    4)have you loaded original nuvi fw?
    5) have you created Garmin folder in nuvi and restarted it?

    We can just keep on repeating these instructions, if we don't know what have you done precisely

    Tiny observation. If it's visible in Windows the device isn't bricked so the cure is not needed [but won't hurt anyway].

    My devise Nuvi 3710 is visble in Windows, it is updating in Webupdater and in Garmin Express, but it can't be started. When I push power button the logo Garmin appears on the screen and that's all. After 5 seconds it is power off.
    Please help me if you have any idea.
    Than you!

    Does it only fail to boot when on battery power, or when also on charge? If it only happens on battery power then possibly your battery is near dead.

    If it happens on charge, first backup and then try removing whatever file/s you last added e.g. gupdate.gcd, vehicles, keyboards, voices, map image, whatever. If it still won't boot format it with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and then if it boots replace files with MapUpdater/WebUpdater or GE. As it's visible in windows you shouldn't need to cure it. Read the initial post fully first please.

    @paperosolitario

    You can just format with prepusb and then create folder Garmin ( NOT GARMIN ) and see if xml will bi created.
    If don't work, then try with cure, and after this flash with original fw in pre boot.

    @bobokom

    format it with prepusb and after this you also create empty new folder with name Garmin, when you turn off/on nuvi you will have xml inside and you can run webupdater and update all.
    If all go Ok your nuvi will start normaly ( please, use webupdater for update your device ).
    If you wish, you can [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
