Gotcha, I see the port and have the card. Trying that now
Try the first, then the second. I meant using a MicroSD card, a tiny SD card which can be inserted into the nuvi.

I got 2 files: 41.bak and 41.bin. How do I upload them to you?
Please upload the entire Garmin folder, there should be more files deeper![]()
I also ran the start.bat file from QuickCure3-with-flasher and got this:
QuickCure3 v0.2 by kunix
payload comment:
HWID&SWVR; MOV R8,R12
Initializing USB...
hwid = 972
swvr = 420
name = nⁿvi 13xx Series Software Version 4.20
Initializing USB once again...
sending the payload...
all done
now the device should enter the mass storage mode
Press any key to continue . . .
Should I flash and RGN at this point or is it just done? A power off and power on of the device still has garmin boot loop.
The device was supposed to enter the mass storage mode immediately after running start.bat. Did it do that?
Yes, I do see more files. I have compressed the directory, but do I paste them to the forum or send to your dropbox somehow?
The batch file said it did, what does the garmin look like when it goes into mass storage mode?
Please, visit your private messages folder.
Ok, I worked with kunix quite a bit today and it was suggested the device is not erasing flash regions at all and that I post back here for any further suggestions because the unit is still suffering from the garmin boot loop.
The last step I ran was running a updater with the files from sdcard1: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
The output from to my sdcard was this:
nüvi 13xx Series Software Version 6.10, UID: %SameUID/HWID%, HWID: %SameUID/HWID%

So my question is, does anyone else have an suggestions on this? Or is it possible to open the Nuvi 1390 up and replace the flash memory or maybe have it work from the micro SD card with some type of boot loader? I'm just throwing anything out at this point because it's not looking good for this 1390 which wasn't dropped. They only bad thing this unit possibly received was exposure to the summer heat from within the car, but I would think most people have left their Nuvi in the car during the heat of summer before. kunix, thanks again for all the time you spent with me today.
