I flashed with file 097201000580.rgn from you. It stays with blank white screen and is shown in Device Manager as Garmin USB GPS for indefinite time.
After restart, it continues with the blank white screen but is no more seen in Device manager, unless restarts again with top left corner of dispalay depressed.
I also flashed with original Garmin file in GarminCure3 ORIGINAL and after a first short phase, Nuvi screen changes to Garmin logo with SOFTWARE MISSING message and device disappears from Device Manager. If I leave it, an error message comes. If I restart (in short time, with USB to computer still connected), update continues in two 0 to 100% stages and final message says Update successful.
After restart, it comes with blank screen followed by Garmin logo turning on/off.
Is it possible Garmin put on purpose a feature in firmware to sense broken (interrupted) digitizer replacement to avoid their units being repaired?
I understand GarminCure3 was tested on units with accidentally deleted files or formatted drives, but did someone used it on units with broken and later replaced digitizers? Or did someone successfully replaced a broken digitizer on Nuvi 13xx series?
