    Got it to work already. I've backread in this thread and the trick was to press over the G logo (for the 3790) just after the backlight appears and NEVER BEFORE it appears.

    I think the original issue that caused my 3790 to being bricked is that I accidentally used a USB3 port instead of USB2.

    Use the entire pad of your left thumb to cover the area both on and over the 'G' or where it should be. This is particularly valuable it you don't know whether your unit is flashed as a 34 or 37 or when there is no logo as you had. And you are right about waiting for the unit to come on before pressing. This is not the case with other devices where you hold the upper LH corner before turning on to access pre-boot.

    Maybe, but i've not heard of that and it really does seem unlikely. USB3 ports are backwardly compatible with USB 1 & 2 devices, the same as USB 2 ports are backwardly compatible with USB 1 devices. More likely imo that something simply went wrong with the process the first time
