    Have done a hard reset ?
    Was the sound working before ?
    Have you tried to re-flash the nuvi using updater.exe ?

    Nuvi34xx means you have problem.
    You loss model number now.

    You will loss features if you get 37xx.
    You can add features for 34xx by XML file.

    Go to about and see what it shows, if it shows 34xx you have a problem-
