I took your word for granted. I recall a request made to garmin for a replacement unit and the software version was 5.30 but I accept that I could not prove that such version was for a MTK chipset. Unfortunately I did not make a back-up of my old unit to verify it was a MTK. I could downgrade my nuvi 205 with this file. But, the occasional issue of route line incomplete or discontinuos is sitill present in my nuvi.
