I think it's just an error on the update server.

In most of the firmwares for Edge family devices, the patcher just cannot change the copyright string.
It's surely sad, that my name won't be displayed in them. In other aspects, this message it not critical

Why can't the Fenix 5 (not 5X) take JNX maps?

I've loaded this firmware to my Garmin Oregon 550 and works like a really well. So I have all the maps I want to use...

They will be able to accept JNX maps after the patch.
The problem is it's impossible to install the patched firmware because Fenix performs some firmware file validation before flashing. And I still couldn't bypass this validation.
