Thread: Patched firmwares for JNX files

62 Series FW 3.00 -
To patcher use firmware patcher 2.3 or download the file patched and tested from the link: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (credits to Franz Dur)

To install follow the instructions from post 36. If you have already installed the original version 3.00 by WebUpdate you must first downgrade to any previous version non beta (2.80, for example). Download an original version in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Copy the file gupdate.exe to the folder Garmin of the memory card, reboot and wait for the upgrade. Follow the instructions from post 36 to install patched version and you'll be able to use your files JNX .. (to return the previous version of firmware, delete the patched gupdate.exe and rename the modified file [item2, post 36] to its original name: gupdate.exe)

My feedback
I tried this patched firmware 3.00
No problem to install.
But so far it behaves like the original one and appears to be like the original in "about". Impossible to use the JNX of my Colorado. Impossible to download something from BaseCamp except a small demo.

Motzkus, you're sure to have a previous version installed other than 3.00? If yes, we can say that the version posted was not changed. Anyway now you have to go back to previous version non beta (2.80). Already with a lower version installed (instructions above) try this new option for the link: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (updated in post 38)

Francis, you're right! Thanks for the feedback, but the FirmwarePatcher 2.3 (newer) apparently has no effect in fw 3.0 62's series. Unfortunately I don't have a 62 to test.
If you have the fw 3.00 patched and tested, let us the link..
Am sorry not having been able to collaborate. The intend was make things easier for the beginner...
