To who trying to run Streetpilot 2.33 on Android 9.x,
The latest patched app was originally released by 'voodoo' at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] on March. As the author said, there are still few problems not yet resolved. Also, many people in that forum have verified that the version can't run on an Android 9.x phone if gps/location service is on. Those failure instances includes Huawei P20(Android 9.0 Pie). Therefore, I would suggest you waste no more time on this issue. The unsloved problems can't be resolved simply by replacing strings in apk.
Very appreciate to see if there is any possible technical interface issue between Android 9 and Location Services. As a non tech, would it be a Android internal software interface?
Any chance to take a look of this part? Many many users works well in Android 9 with Location Services Disabled.
Many many thanks...…………………………………………………………!!!!…………………...

Look at the title of this thread
"Garmin StreetPilot v2.33 app for Android v6.7.8.9.0x All Multi Language."
Do you see "for Android 9.0x?" If this thread is using 'voodoo' hack, why is it not given credit to 'voodoo?' If this thread is not using 'voodoo' hack, then the title is wrong.
So the problem isn't the GPS Settings GPS signal. that does not work because you can not change something GPS Settings ! GPS Settings is in all languages english this word is not available in the language!
If you choose text language as Traditional Chinese, you will display the traditional Taiwanese language! I think this Garmin navigation Android app doesn't really support the high version of Android phones. If you modify your application to support higher versions, some features will crash and are incompatible. So the Voodoo master shows the satellite signal map cut off in the streetpilot! My Samsung s9 + android 8.0 Android two apps are streetpilot and moterra, but moterra has a satellite image signal that will crash as long as it is positioned! If you don't open the satellite image, you can navigate! It turns out that after the street navigation and moterra modification support the high version of the phone, the app and the phone version of the high version of the GPS interface are not compatible!
